One of Auburn football’s top targets on National Signing Day tomorrow is 3-star edge rusher, Jack Pyburn. Though Pyburn’s commitment once seemed like a lock for the Tigers, things got more interesting when Billy Napier extended an offer from the Florida Gators.

After two visits to the Plains– one official and one unofficial– and an official visit to Miami, Pyburn originally narrowed down his choices to those two programs. However, just days before National Signing Day, Pyburn announced he would be taking a last-minute visit down to the Swamp.

With the Florida offer on the table, it is widely believed that Miami is no longer a contender and Pyburn will choose the Gators or the Tigers, though he has upgraded to a final three programs rather than dropping Miami.

So, will Bryan Harsin’s Auburn football program get a piece of good news after the recent influx of bad news, or will Pyburn choose to stay in-state and play for Florida?

Here’s what the pass rusher had to say about both Auburn and Florida, per Inside the U:

"Auburn: “It’s the tradition behind Auburn. It’s how much the fan base cares and the opportunity Auburn provides. It’s also Coach [Bryan] Harsin and Coach [Bert] Watts]. I feel like that program is going to win and like they are on the upward trajectory. [The depth chart] is also extremely favorable.”Florida: “I was extremely impressed by the staff. I think Coach [Billy] Napier has all the right ideas compared to previous staffs when it comes to brining back the Gator standard and what it means to be a Florida Gator. The [staff] is huge and that’s a big thing for me – the support he has in place. It’s special.”"

Kieth Niebuhr of Auburn Undercover reports that Pyburn is a lifelong fan of the Gators, which will be the Tigers’ biggest challenge in securing his commitment, but he was very impressed with his official visit to the Plains earlier this month.

You can catch 3-star edge Jack Pyburn’s official decision today around 2:30 p.m. central live on the 247 Sports News Network.
