There is unrest in the Auburn football family right now between players that stand with Bryan Harsin–amidst a period of high-stakes rumors we won’t give credence to unless substantiated–and those that blame the current head coach for their own departures from the Plains.
While Chandler Wooten, Derick Hall, and John Samuel Shenker were a few of the guys to back Harsin, transfer portal departee Kobe Hudson had some of the strongest words on the other side of the coin for the Boise native.
Hudson, who joined the coach that recruited him, Gus Malzahn, in Orlando with his new team (UCF), insinuated that Harsin is the sole reason why he isn’t donning orange and blue any longer…subliminally taking a shot at his new school in the process:
Hudson is joining the fray along the likes of Lee Hunter, who criticized Harsin as someone lacking in the empathy department (via 247Sports):
"I chose to leave Auburn because we got treated like we (weren’t) good enough and like dogs. I love you, Auburn nation. War Eagle forever. Coach Harsin has the true mindset for a winner but has a terrible mindset as a person.”"
Through it all, Bryan Harsin maintains a Jordan Belfort-esque approach to the current in-house turmoil in the Auburn football program. He ain’t leaving.
As he shouldn’t. The Class of 2022 believes in the culture he is setting, and many returning leaders have the utmost faith in the SEC newcomer.
If what is out there about the man isn’t true, then there are serious booster issues that need immediate assortment. This is a wait-and-see situation.
As for Hudson, his desire for Malzahn to return is merely postmortem trash talk…that may have backfired since it reads as being more spiteful of Harsin and less excited about his new journey with Knights Nation.
