Auburn football: Daren Bates tees off on AU BoT for Bryan Harsin drama
The current mess engulfing the Auburn football program surrounding what Bryan Harsin may or may not have done is putting the university’s board of trustees in the limelight for all the wrong reasons.
AU’s privileged chosen few, whose pockets are overstuffed and whose appetite for destruction would make Guns N’ Roses blush in 1987, has created a firestorm of controversy due to leaking some ugly rumors about the newcomer from Boise.
It seems like this could drag out for a bit, so we won’t even begin to speculate on whether the rumors are true or not. Fly War Eagle refuses to lend credence to any of it until it has been confirmed because of the potentially slanderous nature of the accusations.
Former Tiger and current NFL LB Daren Bates chimed in on it all, taking the kid gloves off to deliver powerful shots to the Auburn Board of Trustees (NSFW WARNING):

Bates responded to a Twitter user that said that Nick Saban and Bruce Pearl wouldn’t be dealing with any of this–and by this, we mean the head coach having practically no control over the hiring practices of his own coaching staff, among other things–to which Bates responded…

The jury is out on whether or not Harsin is that guy. It certainly seemed like things were going his way until the calendar turned to November and Murphy’s Law started applying to every facet of Auburn football.
All we know is that as this rages on, we’re bound to get more former Tiger hot takes like Bates’.
