As fans of Auburn football, we’re all used to hearing bad news. With the way that the 2021 football season ended followed by a disappointing national signing day, by now we’re all actually used to hearing bad news rather than good news.
But wait, said the university administration and the board of trustees, there’s more! And here we are now, over a week into the messy, dramatic saga that has been the potential firing of Bryan Harsin. He returned from vacation and officially showed up to represent Auburn football at SEC HQ for the coaches’ meeting, but does that really mean his job is safe?
Probably not. Even if Harsin is innocent of all the accusations that have been tossed his way in the past week, how does he move past all this to run a successful football program when he clearly doesn’t have the support of those above him? At this point, it seems like a lose-lose situation for both Harsin and the football program.
However, if there’s one thing that fans of Auburn football do well, it’s turning bad moments into comedic tweets, and there are plenty of hilarious takes going around Twitter regarding the Bryan Harsin mess:

Are we waiting for smoke to come out of Samford Hall? White smoke, Harsin stays. Black he's gone?
Ok if Harsin showed up with a bag of Auburn hats and started tossing them out to the media, I would lose it.

If I were Harsin I would walk into the SEC meetings handing out souvenirs from my vacation.

Although it seems by now that there is no way Bryan Harsin remains the head coach of Auburn football, the university has yet to fire him and he’s still doing his job as the head coach. At least we all have Twitter to keep us entertained in these disastrous times.
