Auburn football: Reign of Troy thinks USC could steal these 3 Tigers
While Auburn football did not have a very successful National Signing Day, the team got a massive haul from Early Signing Day in December. Head coach Bryan Harsin and his staff brought in an elite group of players from Junior College, in addition to flipping a 4-star recruit from Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide.
However, according to sister FanSided site Reign of Troy, those Tigers could be on the radar for the University of Southern California:
"Auburn signed a good class this year, which ranked 19th in the country (all recruiting ratings and rankings in article are as of 247Sports). They have many players at positions of need for the Trojans, so if these players decide to leave what appears to be a turbulent situation at Auburn with all the controversy surrounding Bryan Harsin, USC should do what they can to swoop in."
Don’t worry, Auburn football fans. Fly War Eagle is here to let you know that members of the 2022 recruiting class are not likely to ditch Bryan Harsin and the program. Although the situation surrounding Harsin and his support staff did get quite messy, things have been resolved and Harsin will remain the head coach heading into the 2022 season, with the support of his first recruiting class on the Plains.
Reign of Troy named three players that USC should try to steal from Auburn football, including Keionte Scott, Jeffrey M’ba, and Robert Woodyard. However, the author rightly offers the disclaimer that getting those players out to California would be a longshot.
Both JUCO players Scott and M’Ba have been very outspoken in their support of Harsin throughout the whole investigation, and have made it clear on Twitter they’re ready to suit up in orange and blue this fall:
And as for Robert Woodyard, an Alabama native, Harsin and his staff were able to flip him from the Tide but it’s clear the linebacker intends to play football in his home state. As key members of Auburn football’s recruiting class of 2022, it’s highly unlikely that we see these guys leaving the program.
