One day after the start of spring practices, 2022 Pro Day has arrived for Auburn football. 12 of the Tigers’ biggest talents will get a chance to impress NFL scouts and improve their draft stock from the practice facility on campus.
Unsurprisingly, the three former Auburn football players that participated in the NFL combine will work to make an impression on pro day in cornerback Roger McCreary, safety Smoke Monday, and linebacker Zakoby McClain. In addition to his combine invite, McCreary also participated in the Reese’s Senior Bowl earlier this year in his hometown of Mobile, AL.
All three former players were major pieces of the Tigers’ roster in 2021 were also named All-SEC players by Phil Steele.
Several other big names from the 2021 season will be showing off their skills at pro day, including edge T.D. Moultry, offensive lineman Brodarious Hamm, linebacker Chandler Wooten, defensive tackle Tony Fair, wide receiver Demetris Robertson, and safety Bydarrius Knighten.
Following the 2021 season, T.D. Moultry was invited to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, and Tony Fair was invited to play in the Tropical Bowl after his only season on the Plains. Brodarius Hamm, Demetris Robertson, and Bydarrius Knighten each earned an invite to the Hula Bowl.
Several lesser-known Tigers from Bryan Harsin’s squad are showing off their skills to the NFL scouts in punter Aidan Marshall, long snapper Clarke Smith, and defensive back Devin Guice.
Marshall punted on and off for the Tigers over his career on the team from 2017-18 and then 2020-21. Clarke Smith spent five years on the team and played in two different seasons while DB Devin Guice worked his way from walk-on to veteran cornerback to earning his first start in this year’s Birmingham Bowl.
