Auburn football’s next big recruiting event is set to take place on campus this weekend, and the visitor list continues to grow by the day. Two 4-star prospects from the Peach State have confirmed that they will be headed to the Plains this weekend to see what second-year head coach Bryan Harsin’s program is all about.

The first is 4-star defensive lineman Darron Reed, whose hometown of Columbus, Georgia, is just under an hour away from Auburn’s campus. Reed is currently listed as the #299 overall prospect and the #46 defensive lineman in the recruiting class of 2023 as well as the #30 recruit out of the State of Georgia, per 247 Sports.

Reed earned an offer from Auburn football back in August, and the Tigers joined a long list of programs including Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, LSU, Miami, and Florida State, among others. According to Nole Gameday, Reed has been on the FSU campus multiple times and considers it to be a top school on his list right now.

The next big-time Peach State recruit that will visit Auburn football this weekend for the recruiting event is 4-star safety Michael Daugherty. Listed as the #166 overall prospect and #15 safety in the recruiting class of 2023 and the #17 recruit out of the state of Georgia, Daugherty earned his offer from the Tigers back in September and has already been on campus once for the 2021 Iron Bowl.

Hailing from Logansville, GA, Daugherty attends the same high school that produced current Auburn linebacker Owen Pappoe and has been familiar with the program for a while now, per Auburn Live.

With both recruits headed to the Plains this weekend, the Auburn football coaching staff has a big opportunity to push Reed and Daugherty away from the other top schools on their offer lists and show them why the Plains is the best place for them to be.
