Auburn football had a tremendous weekend of recruiting with plenty of high-profile prospects visiting the Plains for the Junior Day event. Recruits got to watch the Tigers practice, see the coaches in action, and even hear from several former players throughout the weekend.

One of the visitors this weekend is already committed to another school, but he walked away from the Plains with an offer in hand. Lamar Seymore, a 3-star wide receiver, has been committed to his hometown school Miami for almost a year, but Auburn football is doing its best to turn the WR into a Tiger.

Ranked as the #770 overall prospect and the #120 wide receiver in the class of 2023, Seymore is the #122 recruit out of the state of Florida, per the On3 Sports database. In addition to offers from Miami and Auburn, Seymore has received interest from several other top programs including Penn State, Florida State, and Tennessee.

Following his visit to the Plains and his talks with wide receivers coach Ike Hilliard, Seymore is now saying that Auburn football could be a big factor in his recruitment, per Auburn Live:

"“Auburn, from what I saw (Sunday), could be a big factor,” Seymore said. “I want to come back up here. They kept it real with me with how it would be if I go here. That’s all I needed to know. You don’t have to bribe me to get me to come, tell me that I’ll start my freshman year and then get here and have to redshirt.”"

Seymore plans to make several official visits in the fall and confirmed that a return trip to the Plains is in the works. With an obvious need for wide receiver talent in the coming years, Auburn football has a good chance to pull off the flip with Lamar Seymore.
