Auburn football fans have resurrected a video that was buried deep in the archives of 247Sports college football reporter Keith Niebuhr’s Twitter account.
It wasn’t just any random video. The footage from practice, one ahead of 2019’s Under Armour All American Game, showed Auburn football transfer QB Robby Ashford throw an end zone fade to the newest Tiger, Dazalin Worsham.
Worsham, like Ashford, is a Birmingham-area product that went to a Power Five program on the coast that has come back to his home state for a new chance on the Plains. The Hewett-Trussville product went to Manny Diaz’s Miami Hurricanes, while Hoover’s Ashford committed to Diaz’s replacement, Mario Cristobal, in Oregon.
Watch the connection that the two had back in late December 2019:

Auburn football fans liked what they saw then, and started doing a little daydreaming ahead of the 2022 season:
@zacchildress20 potentially could happen again lol

The thought of seeing this duo this fall, or in the near Auburn future, makes me very happy https://t.co/ZW5sfk56on

Auburn football QB Robby Ashford is a distant third in the QB race
The Tigers QB race looks like it’s going to come down to T.J. Finley and Zach Calzada, despite Auburn fans wanting to see A-Day MVP Robby Ashford get a chance.
Things could change, with Bryan Harsin and his coaching staff aiming to have a decision by August, but the Ashford-Worsham connection looks like it’ll have to wait until seismic changes occur in the Auburn backfield.
