Auburn football HC Bryan Harsin isn’t usually praised by many mainstream college football publications, but Saturday Down South’s Connor O’Gara gave the Tigers locker-room leader his metaphorical ‘flowers’ in praising his decision to start a podcast.

“Huddle with Hars” is the name of Harsin’s new weekly podcast, and his first guess was the new Auburn football OC Eric Kiesau:

O’Gara believes that Harsin’s decision to be so open with college football fans is one that other coaches should follow:

"“Listen and you’ll learn more about Kiesau than you ever could from reading his Auburn bio page or listening to a 20-minute press conference with him. “Huddle with Hars” isn’t some postgame coaches show, nor is it midweek availability with the media. Crowded space or not, it’d be refreshing to see college coaches follow in Harsin’s footsteps.”"

Why Auburn football HC Bryan Harsin started “Huddle with Hars”

Bryan Harsin didn’t intend to start “Huddle with Hars” in order to provide internet message boards gossip fodder. There was a greater purpose to sharing insights and viewpoints with the world than that.

Here was his mission statement:

"“The purpose of these podcasts are for those of you that follow our program, and those of you just looking for good stories, life lessons, keys to success and more from our coaches. And to get to know these coaches like I do. As husbands, fathers, leaders and hard-working men that care deeply about what they do.”"

It’s refreshing to see Harsin get praise. Hopefully this podcast will be a positive addition to the HC’s plate in 2022.
