As the summer months begin, Auburn football will stay busy hosting potential recruits on campus for various camps and visits. Last weekend, the Tigers hosted several athletes, including the younger brother of just-enrolled class of 2022 signee Austin Ausberry.

It was not Jaiden Ausberry’s first trip to the Plains, thanks to his older brother, and he told Auburn Rivals that Austin is not the only one working hard to recruit him to Auburn football, and the coaching staff has made it clear that he is a priority:

"“They really emphasized how much they want me,” said Ausberry. “It’s not just going to be the Ausberry brothers. It’s going to be Jaiden Ausberry, Austin Ausberry and not no package deal or something like that. I really liked that so they’re in a real good spot right now.”"

Ausberry has also been extremely complimentary of his relationship with linebackers coach Christian Robinson, who has had the Ausberrys on his radar since he was coaching back in Florida.

Though the Tigers are in a good spot with the 4-star linebacker, his family is ensuring that Jaiden’s decision will be his own, and not because that’s what his older brother did or because his family wants them to play together, via Auburn Rivals:

"“It’s basically they want me to make the best decision for myself,” Ausberry said. “Whether that’s here or anywhere else, they say it’s my choice and I really respect that. At the end of the day, they’re not going to be at college with me. It’s just me. It has to be what’s best for me in the long term.”"

The linebacker plans to make his final decision in December, but before then plans to take official visits to Notre Dame, Texas A&M, and Michigan, and hopes to see LSU and Oregon as well. It’s also likely that Ausberry will return to Jordan-Hare Stadium in the fall to watch his brother play for the Tigers.
