As the summer comes to a close and the Auburn football team begins their fall camp ahead of head coach Bryan Harsin’s second year on the Plains, the Tigers’ recruiting class of 2023 has just six commits. Out of the six, four have committed during the summer.

Today, the Tigers have a chance to add another commit to the 2023 roster, and in a position of great need. 3-star inside offensive lineman Connor Lew will make his official commitment decision tonight at 5:45 p.m. central time.

Lew, from Acworth, GA, is ranked as the #510 overall prospect and the #26 inside offensive lineman in the recruiting class of 2023 as well as being the #51 player out of the Peach State.

The IOL has named a final four schools of Georgia, Clemson, Miami, and Auburn, and took official visits to each of the programs in the month of June. Lew’s academic goal is to become a pilot, a program that Auburn offers, and when he visited the Plains he was hosted by current center Nick Brahms, another OL with plans to be a pilot.

In recent weeks, it seems that momentum has shifted in favor of Miami, but Auburn football is most certainly still in the race. Lew said that the pro flight major really sets Auburn apart from the others and he praised Harsin’s vision for the program and the culture he is building on the Plains. However, on decision day, Lew is still trending toward the Hurricanes, and the 247 Sports Crystal Ball projects him to end up in Miami.

Catch Connor Lew’s commitment this evening on Fox 5 at 5:45 p.m. central time to find out if the Tigers will add their seventh commit to the class of 2023.
