The Auburn football team will have a huge need for offensive linemen in the 2023 season. Most of the offensive line from last year have returned for a final season in 2022, but the Tigers are expected to lose at least six linemen following this year.

While the Tigers’ staff have been combing the transfer portal and going after various talented high school athletes, they have also turned their attention to the Junior College world. On Friday, they extended an offer to offensive tackle Isaiah Jatta, who currently plays for Snow College in Ephraim, Utah.

Though the OT has been committed to South Carolina since June, he plans to take a hard look at the Auburn football program and is particularly interested in how Auburn can help get him to the NFL, per Auburn Live:

"“I don’t know too much, but I have been doing research a little bit,” he said. “I know their football history is amazing. They’ve been putting guys in the league, for sure. That’s something that sticks out because I’m a league-type of guy and am trying to put myself in the best situation to get there.”"

Jatta plans to take an official visit to the Plains in the fall, but he has not yet set the date. He plans to return to South Carolina for an official visit on September 24 when the Gamecocks host the Charlotte 49ers.

After he graduates this December, Jatta will have two years of eligibility left, which makes him a strong candidate to come into the Auburn football program and make an immediate impact while still having a bit of longevity.

Another draw to the Plains for Jatta is his friendship with Auburn cornerback Keionte Scott. The pair played together at Snow College and Scott has been working to get Jatta out for a visit to Auburn.

Though he currently plans to be a Gamecock, a flip could be in the works for JUCO OT Isaiah Jatta.
