Could 2023 be the year of the flip for Auburn football? We sure hope so. Throughout this recruiting cycle, head coach Bryan Harsin and his staff have not shied away from continuing to recruit prospects that have already given verbal pledges to other schools while trying to secure a solid recruiting class of 2023.

Two of those flips that the Tigers are working on come from the same high school as Terrance Love, a 2023 Auburn football safety commit, and he is working on getting his teammates to flip and commit to Auburn. This weekend, Love traveled to the Plains to watch the Tigers take on San Jose State, and brought with him 4-star Ohio State tight end commit Jelani Thurman.

Thurman was a top target for Auburn football but ultimately chose Ohio State and committed in July, but Love insists that the Tigers still have a chance with his TE teammate, per Auburn Live:

"“Every time I come down here, I bring him with me,” Love said. “I feel like Ohio State is not going to bring what Auburn can bring for him like getting on the field early. I’m telling him that they are going to get the ball to the tight ends and we saw it today with 25 (John Samuel Shenker). He had a couple of big catches.”"

Next weekend, when the Tigers host the Penn State Nittany Lions, Love will be back for an official visit with Auburn, and he’s bringing with him both Thurman and another major flip candidate and Langston-Hughes teammate, Bo Hughley. The 4-star offensive tackle has been committed to Georgia for quite some time but has come very close to flipping in favor of Auburn football, and there’s still plenty of time in his recruitment.

Love claims that Bryan Harsin and the Tigers still have a chance with both of his committed teammates, and the more the pair sets foot on the Plains, the better.
