The Auburn football coaching staff is hitting the road and stepping up recruiting efforts during the 2022 bye week, which falls on this Saturday, October 22. Head coach Bryan Harsin kicked off the week with a trip to Birmingham before heading down to southern Alabama.

Meanwhile, two of Auburn football’s position coaches will be making key stops around the state of Florida this weekend. Edge coach and special teams coordinator Roc Bellantoni will join associate head coach Zac Etheridge for the first few visits to several powerhouse high schools around the Sunshine State.

Although the Tigers only have potential targets at some of these schools, Chaminade-Madonna Prep, American Heritage, St. Thomas Aquinas, Dillard and John Carroll are important programs for the Auburn staff to have good relationships with.

Etheridge will be checking out 3-star ATH Edwin Joseph, who recently visited the Plains for the LSU game and plans to return for an official visit, at Chaminade-Madonna, according to Auburn Undercover. Other targets for this portion of the trip include Penn State safety commit Conrad Hussey and receivers Chance Robinson and James Madison II.

Auburn football linebackers coach will then join Bellantoni in Florida, and the pair will visit 4-star 2024 quarterback commit Adrian Posse before heading over to Miami Central to check out two high priority targets, 4-star edge Rueben Bain and 3-star Louisville linebacker commit Stanquan Clark.

Bain was once trending toward his hometown school of Miami, but it is now thought that he is leaning toward the Tigers. Meanwhile, Clark visited the Plains for the LSU matchup and absolutely loved it. The Louisville commit plans to be back for an official visit when the Tigers take on Texas A&M at home.

With only 11 commits in the recruiting class of 2023, the bye week will be hugely important for this Auburn football staff to get out on the road and sell the program.
