Could this offensive lineman be the next Auburn football commit?
Things are going well for the Auburn football program on the recruiting trail. The Tigers picked up three more commitments to the class of 2024 last week and hosted several more highly-ranked prospects on campus for visits. Who could be the next commit for the Tigers?
One recruit on campus over the weekend for an official visit was Georgia OL Kahlil House. From Warner Robbins, GA, House is ranked as the #806 overall prospect and the #50 IOL in the recruiting class of 2024 and he is the #93 recruit out of the Peach State.
House’s Plains visit was his last one before making his final decision, and he will choose between Ole Miss, Cincinnati, UCF, Stanford, and Auburn football. He has officially visited each of his finalists except Stanford, which he was scheduled to visit at the end of this month. However, with a commitment announcement on the horizon it’s possible House does not make that trip.
There are several 247 Sports Crystal Ball Predictions for House to land at Auburn, and according to Auburn Rivals the OL had a great last visit to the Plains, bonding with the coaching staff and the current players:
"“It was great, really felt like home here,” House said. “Everybody was great. Coach (Hugh) Freeze, Coach (Jake) Thornton, Coach (Kendall) Simmons. Even the players, EJ Harris, [Dillon] Wade, [Izavion Miller], those are my guys, it just felt like family here.”"
House and his family got to have one-on-one time with head coach Hugh Freeze, who invited them to his home, and offensive line Jake Thornton spent time telling House how he would fit into the offense in several positions.
Though no date has been officially set, House told reporters that his decision could come as early as this week and that he’s ready to decide where he’ll be playing college ball. Look out for Kahlil House to be Auburn football’s next commit.
