COMMITTING TODAY: Auburn football OL target Kahlil House
The Auburn football coaching staff have been consistently adding to the recruiting class of 2024, which is made up of eight commits right now but could end up at nine before the day is over. Today, 3-star offensive line target Kahlil House will make his official decision and commit to one of his top programs.
House, a native of Warner Robins, GA, is ranked as the #59 inside offensive lineman and is the #88 recruit out of the Peach State. He took three unofficial visits to the Plains this year, one in January, one in March, and one earlier this month. His official visit with Auburn football was the weekend of June 16.
Following his trip to campus, House noted that the Plains truly felt like home, and that he was able to bond well with head coach Hugh Freeze, offensive line coach Jake Thornton, and several of the current Auburn football players.
The IOL has narrowed his recruitment down to five finalists, including Cincinnati, UCF, Stanford, Ole Miss, and Auburn. With his official visits to each school in his rearview mirror, House is ready to make a final decision. He will announce his commitment today at 12 p.m. eastern time.
House has two differing 247 Sports Crystal Ball Predictions, one that lands him at Stanford and one that lands him on the Plains. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives the Cardinal a slight lead over the Tigers, with UCF and Ole Miss falling far behind.
The Tigers were considered to be hugely in the lead for the Georgia offensive lineman, but his visit to California this past weekend obviously had a big impact. Last week it seemed that House was a done deal to the Plains, but it just shows how quickly things can change in modern day recruiting. Tune in to catch 3-star IOL Kahlil House’s commitment at noon today.
