The Auburn football program has had a successful summer of recruiting, locking down many of the Tigers top targets and flipping a couple of 5-star athletes from neighboring rivals Alabama and Georgia.

However, the work is not yet finished, and some recruiting battles will go all the way to early national signing month in December. Others will come to a close later this month, including that of 4-star defensive lineman TJ Lindsey.

The Bryant, Arkansas, native transferred to the IMG Academy in Florida during the offseason, and is ranked as the #30 defensive lineman in the recruiting class of 2024 and the #48 recruit out of the state of Florida.

Earlier this week, Lindsey revealed his top five schools are Alabama, Miami, Texas A&M, Texas, and Auburn football. He has officially visited each of them, except for Alabama, and was most recently on the Plains for his official on June 2. He was slated to attend Big Cat Weekend, but could ultimately could not make the trip— however, his parents were on the Plains to represent him.

He also set an official commitment date for his announcement, which will be this Saturday, August 12.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine puts Auburn football firmly in the lead for Lindsey with a 84.3 percent chance to land the defensive lineman, with Texas A&M following behind at an 8.8 percent chance even though Lindsey said after his visits the Tigers and the Longhorns stood out the most.

Lindsey said his decision would come down to where he sees the best overall fit for himself, and told On3’s Chad Simmons he sees plenty of opportunities on the Plains:

"“It’s about the opportunity at Auburn. They have a new staff, it is a brand new team and Auburn has a new energy. There is a lot of opportunities there.”"

Check back on August 12 to see where 4-star defensive lineman TJ Lindsey plans to play college football.
