The Auburn football program recently got a boost of momentum in the world of recruiting when 4-star inside offensive lineman DeAndre Carter, a Mater Dei product out of Santa Ana, California, reaffirmed his commitment to the Tigers and announced he would be making the trip to the Plains for the Iron Bowl at the end of the month.

Today, the Tigers have the opportunity to continue adding to the momentum. Junior college safety Laquan Robinson out of Holmes Community College is set to make his final commitment decision this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. central time. The ceremony will take place at Robinson’s high school in his hometown of Greenville, Alabama.

With 3 stars attached to his name, Robinson is ranked as the #8 overall JUCO prospect and the #1 JUCO safety in the recruiting class of 2024. He is the #2 JUCO player out of the state of Alabama.

The safety has 10 offers but will be choosing between his top three schools, which are Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Auburn football. He took an official visit to the Plains last month to watch the Tigers take on the Ole Miss Rebels, and noted that he could see himself on the field, especially with the Tigers’ need at the safety position.

A big reason why Robinson holds interest in Auburn football is because of his bond with the coaching staff, especially secondary coach Zac Etheridge and head coach Hugh Freeze. In fact, Freeze fired off a post this morning on X, formerly known as Twitter, indicating that it could be a good day for the Tigers:

Though Ole Miss has been a slight factor in Robinson’s recruitment, all official predictions are pointing to the safety ending up in orange and blue. Find out today at 2:00 p.m.
