The Auburn football program is pretty used to beating up on Arkansas. Though last year saw the Tigers lose to the Razorbacks in Jordan-Hare Stadium, things were different then. This year, the Tigers will be looking to set the record straight and pick up their third SEC win of the season.

Last season, Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson gave the Tiger defense a lot of trouble, shedding defenders and breaking tackles and forcing his way down the field. Jefferson’s rushing stats have been nothing to write home about for most of this season, but that changed last week when the Hogs picked up their first win in the Swamp over Florida.

Arkansas’ new offensive coordinator Dan Enos was fired before the Florida matchup, and it seems now that the Razorbacks have returned to an offense that looks pretty similar to last year’s, which is something that Auburn football head coach Hugh Freeze is pretty familiar with after he led Liberty to victory over Arkansas last season.

Beating Arkansas will definitely be a challenge for the Tigers, but according to defensive back Keionte Scott, the Auburn football defense is not backing down in the slightest, per AL.com:

"“Our defense, we take challenges like this personally,” said Auburn defensive back Keionte Scott. “With them getting some momentum and us having some momentum, it’s going to be fun. I feel like we hunt the ball very well. It’s going to be a challenge.”"

Both teams will enter Razorback Stadium riding the high of an SEC win, but the Tiger defense has had a strong showing this season and has the best red zone protection in the conference. They are ready to face the challenge of defending KJ Jefferson and the Hog offense.

The Tigers and the Razorbacks will kick off from Fayetteville this afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
