With visits open again, the Auburn football program is lining them up and 3 transfers have set visits in the coming days
It's 2025, and things are moving again in the world of college football. The Auburn football program had success in the first transfer portal window of the offseason, bringing in 14 players with a higher average than those players who left the program. However, there are still plenty of open spots available in positions of need, so head coach Hugh Freeze and his staff are still working.
Already, former Purdue defensive lineman Jeffrey M'ba, who previously played at Auburn, has scheduled a visit, and three more transfers are expected to make their way to the Plains in the coming days.
The first is former Texas State defensive lineman Terry Webb. He spent two years with the Bobcats and recorded 43 tackles and three sacks and played mostly at defensive tackle. Before Texas State, Webb played at Kilgore College. He will have one year of eligibility left. Auburn football has so far only secured one defensive lineman from the transfer portal in former Western Kentucky DL Dallas Walker IV.
Next on the visit list is former Clemson edge rusher AJ Hoffler. After two seasons with the Tigers, Hoffler will have two years of eligibility left. He recorded 13 tackles and one pass breakup during his Clemson career. Auburn has yet to add an edge from the transfer portal.
The final transfer who has set up an imminent visit is another edge from Sam Houston State. Chris Murray will visit the Plains soon after two years with the Bearkats in which he recorded 50 tackles, one pass deflection, 6.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. He has already visited several schools and plans to see more after his time in Auburn.
