With the winter portal window coming to a close, let's take a look at the Auburn football transfer class
The NCAA transfer portal closed on Saturday at midnight after being open for most of the month of December. Now players cannot enter the portal until the spring window, which will open on April 16 and close again on April 25.
The Auburn football team brought in 14 transfers during this window, adding key pieces to the team in preparation for the 2025 season, most notably a pair of quarterbacks, Jackson Arnold from Oklahoma and Ashton Daniels from Stanford. The Tigers also added a couple of offensive linemen to shore up some gaps in the trenches and some wide receivers to accompany the Freeze Four in their second year on the Plains.
However, there are still areas of need for the Tigers, and head coach Hugh Freeze and his staff will certainly be taking advantage of the second portal window come spring. The Tigers will likely look to take another quarterback in the next window after freshman QB Walker White entered the portal and committed to Baylor, leaving only three scholarship QBs on the roster. For now, the Auburn transfer class is ranked #4 overall by 247 Sports and #8 by On3.
