4-star Auburn commit scheduling 6 other visits should concern Tigers fans

Official visits are common after a commitment, but six?

Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze has been diligently working to build up his 2026 recruiting class, and landing the commitment of four-star linebacker Shadarius Toodle was huge. However, even though Toodle has committed to the Tigers, he can still go on official visits to other schools, but the amount he has scheduled should have Tigers fans asking some questions.

Toodle announced his commitment to Auburn back in July of 2024 a while ago. It was announced on March 3 that he has six official visits scheduled this spring. That is right, six visits. Granted one of those official visits is to Auburn, but for a recruit that committed so early in his recruitment process, he clearly is still keeping his options open.

With Auburn being one of the visits on March 29, Toodle also has official visits set up with UNC on March 4, the Florida Gators on March 11, the Georgia Bulldogs on March 15, the Baylor Bears on March 22, and the Michigan Wolverines on April 12.

Toodle is the No. 11 ranked linebacker in the Class of 2026 recruiting and the No. 11 ranked player in the state of Alabama. The Mobile native currently attends Cottage Hill Christian Academy and has received offers from each team he is visiting, as well as offers from Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia Tech, LSU, Louisville, Memphis, Miami, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, UCF, Texas A&M, USC, Washington, and Vanderbilt.

Clearly a highly sought-after linebacker with all those offers, Toodle has a lot of options. Even though he has already committed, he certainly wouldn't be the first recruit to de-commit and go somewhere else. Auburn will have to lay out the red carpet to keep Toodle with the Tigers, especially with all the big programs he plans to go and visit.
