The Auburn football coaching staff is pushing for several flips in the recruitment of the class of 2026, and they had one of their own flip targets on campus last weekend for an official visit.
4-star safety Darryl 'Tre' Bell III, who is currently committed to Florida State, was on the Plains over the weekend for the second time this year. From Hialeah, Florida, Bell is ranked as the No. 27 safety in the recruiting class of 2026 and the No. 52 recruit out of the Sunshine State.
Though he has been committed to the Seminoles since October of 2023, the Auburn football staff is not relenting when it comes to Bell's recruitment. On his official visit, Bell spent a lot of time with his primary recruiter, safeties coach TJ Rushing, and appreciated the fact that Auburn provides support both on and off the football field.
"It was big because they focused mostly on financial aid and how to get a good job after football," Bell said, per Auburn Rivals. "It wasn't only focused on football, this was focused on after that and becoming a man."
According to his recruiting profile on 247 Sports, Bell is set to officially visit Alabama on June 6 and Florida State on June 13. He also plans to return to the Plains this fall for a gameday in Jordan-Hare Stadium. While it will be difficult to pull Bell away from the Seminoles, the Tigers continue to make a good impression on the 4-star safety.
