Over the weekend, the Auburn football program hosted a slew of recruits ahead of the recruiting dead period that starts at the end of the month. One of the weekend's visitors was 4-star wide receiver Devin Carter, who has been committed to the Tigers since January of this year.

From Douglasville, Georgia, Carter is ranked as the No. 120 overall recruit and the No. 17 wide receiver in the recruiting class of 2026. He is the No. 15 prospect out of the Peach State.

Carter originally committed to Florida State in 2023, but walked back his pledge to the Seminoles the following year. He spent a while as an uncommitted recruit before announcing his future as an Auburn Tiger this past January. Still, Carter took an official visit with the Seminoles earlier this month and has been keeping one ear open to Florida State.

After his weekend on the Plains, the 4-star wide receiver made it clear that Auburn is home, and he has found great value in his relationships with the coaching staff, including head coach Hugh Freeze and wide receivers coach Marcus Davis.

"The way they pour into me and express the way that they feel about me — I love it," Carter said, per Auburn Rivals. "They're going to use me well here. I'm going to make plays here in Jordan-Hare Stadium. We're going to be special here. Deuce Knight, I got to work out with him. We went to the field, ran some routes. That's my guy. He's one of them ones and we're going to be special."

After having taken both of the visits, Carter has reaffirmed his commitment to the Tigers.

"I'm locked in. Same as I was months ago when I committed. This was just reassurance that it's home. I had a great time here and I love it here."
