5-star defensive back Bralan Womack has been on a visiting spree over the past few months, and he is getting closer to making a final decision. Over the weekend, he spent time with Auburn football and got to experience the A-Day practice in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Ranked as the No. 2 safety in the recruiting class of 2026 and the No. 2 recruit out of his home state of Mississippi, Womack was familiar with Auburn's campus before this trip because his sister plays softball for Auburn and he'd been to visit plenty of times. A-Day stood out to Womack, however, and he noted how much he appreciated the family feel that head coach Hugh Freeze and his staff have created on the Plains.

"This is a great place," Womack said, per Auburn Rivals. "A lot better than what I expected. They came along late. I've been around the facility before, had the offer, but I didn't expect it to be like this. They've definitely opened me and my family's eyes."

Following his visit to the Plains for A-Day, Womack set an official commitment day for August 23. He will decide between four finalists: Ohio State, Texas A&M, Florida, and Auburn football. Throughout the recruiting process, Womack has grown close with his primary recruiter, safeties coach TJ Rushing, and he sees himself fitting in at Auburn.

"He knows how to get to the league and he's played in the league," Womack said. "He's close in his faith. Any guy that you can be around, he's close in his faith, and he can guide you to where you want to go — that's a great man. That's a big part of our family, faith. That's what we live by."

Womack is set to make his official announcement on Saturday, August 23, on the 247 Sports YouTube channel livestream.
