This weekend, the Auburn football program will be hosting six recruits on official visits, several of whom are top targets for the Tigers. One of those visitors is 5-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan.
From Alexander City, Alabama, Morgan is ranked as the No. 2 wide receiver in the class of 2026 and is the No. 1 recruit out of his home state. He has already officially visited Georgia, Colorado and Florida, and will take his final official visit to Alabama next weekend. With a commitment date set for July 2, this weekend's official visit to the Plains will be the Tigers' final chance with the elite wide receiver.
As his commitment date draws closer, Morgan's top two schools are Iron Bowl rivals Auburn and Alabama, and the Tigers have spent the past few years working to build a strong foundation with the WR to keep him out of the clutches of the Tide. He has grown especially close with Auburn wide receivers coach Marcus Davis.
“Auburn been treating me good,” Morgan said, per AL.com. “Me and my connection to coach [Marcus Davis] is unbreakable. He’s been recruiting me since my freshman year.”
“I’m looking for that school to take my game to the next level. Can they get me make me a better receiver when I leave from when I first came. I want to play early and be on the field as a freshman.”
Still, it seems that Alabama is the current favorite in his recruitment heading into the July 2 commitment date despite having 247 Sports Crystal Ball Predictions to land at both schools.
Morgan is heading into his senior season at Benjamin Russell High School after recording 70 receptions for 1,162 yards and 14 receiving touchdowns last year as a junior.
