The Auburn Tigers, Alabama Crimson Tide, Florida Gators, and Georgia Bulldogs are all in on The Dunham School's 5-star Class of 2027 quarterback prospect, Elijah Haven. Touchdown Alabama's Justin Smith believes the Tide's Junior Day could convince Haven to join Thompson Warriors phenom Trent Seaborn in Tuscaloosa a year from now.

Per Smith, "Alabama will get a pair of elite 2027 quarterbacks on campus in Elijah Haven and Trent Seaborn. Haven is down to Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Georgia, and Seaborn is committed to the Crimson Tide. The Tide has made it clear to both quarterbacks it wants to add two quarterbacks in this class. Will this duo play together at Alabama in the future? This weekend could play a huge role in them doing so."

Seaborn, who led the Warriors to an Alabama 7A championship as an eighth-grader, will hold a hometown sentimentality advantage over Haven. He'll have been known in the Yellowhammer State since 2022. His development has been right on track.

Then again, Haven is a dynamic dual-threat under center with an arm that has many projecting him to be the top overall prospect in the 2027 class. At this point, he's being given 100% confidence from 247Sports' crystal ball to end up with Bama.

Alex Golesh has uphill climb to flip Elijah Haven, but Trent Seaborn could be likelier

As time goes on, and social media continue to consumes recruits and their agents, flipping from one rival to another will be good fodder. Antonio Coleman's legendary Iron Bowl hot potato flips from the Tide to the Tigers will probably reincarnate with another recruit in the future.

Alex Golesh, Joel Gordon, and Byrum Brown will have to quickly convince Haven this season with an unreal performance. One has to figure the hometown LSU Tigers could become a factor at some point too, pulling a reverse Bryce Underwood.

Perhaps flipping Seaborn is more likely, but the competition may be Alabama's primary selling point for both guys. Who knows if Kalen DeBoer, Ryan Grubb, and Co. will still be there when Haven and Seaborn reach campus.

Talking about a 2027 recruit's home in early 2026 is a fool's errand. NIL/rev-share and the upcoming campaign will more than likely turn all of this on its head. As every season does to High School recruiting.
