DT Dallas Walker IV has officially signed with the Tigers

Another day, another transfer portal addition for the Auburn football program. The Tigers added an experienced defensive tackle to the roster today in the form of Dallas Walker IV.

From Smyrna, Tennessee, Walker was a 3-star defensive lineman out of high school and was ranked as the #46 defensive tackle in his class and the #13 recruit out of Tennessee. He signed with Texas A&M as a member of their 2020 recruiting class.

He redshirted in 2020 and played his freshman season in 2021, where he only saw action in two games for the Aggies. Following the 2021 season, he entered the transfer portal and went to Western Kentucky for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. He tallied only nine tackles in his first season with the Hilltoppers, but had a breakout year in 2024 where he recorded 46 total tackles, one forced fumble, and one interception.

Walker visited the Plains last week soon after the transfer portal opened, and the Tigers made a good impression on the defensive tackle.

"It went good," Walker said after his visit, per Auburn Undercover. "I liked the family environment. I'm building good relationships with the coaching staff. I just like everything they do here.

"They think I can definitely come in and make an impact. At some of my past schools we learned some of the same types of techniques. They feel like I can come in and make an impact and be a violent disruptor up front."

Walker will arrive on the Plains with one year of eligibility remaining. He is the ninth player to commit to Auburn football out of the transfer portal and the first defensive lineman to join the Tigers. The transfer portal will remain open until December 28.
