This weekend, the Auburn football team hosted the No. 1 safety in the recruiting class of 2026 for an official visit. It wasn't Bralan Womack's first trip to the Plains, but it might have been the best visit he's had so far.

The No. 21 overall recruit and the No. 1 recruit out of his home state of Mississippi, Womack is a highly coveted recruit and the Tigers are facing stiff competition to win his commitment. He has already taken official visits to Texas A&M and Florida, and will be finishing up his official visit schedule this weekend with Ohio State.

So far, the Auburn football program is sitting at the top for Womack.

"This is probably by far the best official visit I've had," Womack said, per Auburn Rivals. "Just got to wait until next weekend, see how that goes, and then start cutting it down from there."

Of course, Auburn wasn't always so high on Womack's list. The Tigers began recruiting the safety pretty recently and only extended an offer in January. Still, he has developed a strong relationship with Auburn safeties coach TJ Rushing, who Womack says is constantly checking up on him and the rest of his family, too.

"He checks in on me and my family, checks in on my sister who lives here, makes sure we're okay," Womack said. "He keeps the main thing the main thing. They know they were late recruiting me, but they try to make up for it, showing me most upright respect and most love."

With a decision date set for August 22, Womack plans to start thinking and narrowing down his list after finishing his official visits. For now, the people on the Plains are standing out to Womack, and the Tigers are a strong contender to earn his commitment next month.
