The Auburn football program is hosting two sought-after wide receivers from the transfer portal this week.

With transfer portal action in full swing, the Auburn football coaching staff has been busy recruiting and evaluating from the pool of available players. Of course, picking up a talented quarterback is the top priority for the Tigers in this window of the portal, but there are other positions of need, as well.

One of those is wide receiver. The Tigers will be losing their top receiver in KeAndre Lambert-Smith, who transferred in from Penn State to use his final year of eligibility on the Plains. He totaled just under 1000 yards this season, and Auburn football will be looking for another experienced receiver to mentor the younger guys.

The Tigers also lost Camden Brown and Caleb Burton to the transfer portal, and though not a wide receiver, tight end Rivaldo Fairweather will also be gone, and he played a big pass-catching role for Auburn.

But head coach Hugh Freeze and his staff are addressing the issue, and the Tigers are hosting two big wide receivers on campus this week.

The first is former Georgia Tech wide receiver Eric Singleton. He was recruited hard by the Tigers out of high school, and is the cousin of former Auburn wide receiver Darvin Adams. Singleton played two seasons with the Yellow Jackets and was their top receiver both years. Singleton reportedly arrived on the Plains for his visit on Wednesday, and he is also set to visit Ole Miss and Georgia.

Scheduled to arrive today is former LSU wide receiver CJ Daniels. The Georgia native began his career at Liberty in 2020 and has plenty of connections with Freeze and his staff.

After four years at Liberty, Daniels entered the transfer portal and spent the 2024 season at LSU. He visited Auburn last year before choosing LSU, but is reconsidering his choice now.
