Weekends aren't the only times official visitors make their way to campus. The Auburn football program will host two defensive linemen, Corey Wells and Preston Carey, on campus for midweek official visits as well as a few unofficial visitors.

Corey Wells is a 4-star defensive lineman from Petal, Mississippi. Ranked as the No. 273 overall recruit, Wells is ranked as the No. 33 defensive lineman in the recruiting class of 2026 and the No. 12 prospect out of his home state.

Wells' recruitment has recently picked up with multiple offers coming in just last month, but according to his 247 Sports profile, he has only two official visits set up so far— one to Auburn and one to Mississippi State. Auburn Rivals reports he spent the previous weekend officially visiting Ole Miss, where he has already taken multiple visits this year.

The other midweek official visitor is Preston Carey, a 4-star defensive lineman out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, with over 50 offers from schools around the country. He is ranked as the No. 282 overall recruit and the No. 34 defensive lineman in the recruiting class of 2026 and is the No. 45 recruit out of the Sunshine State.

Carey has an ambitious seven official visits set up, and his trip to the Plains is the third among them. The defensive lineman visited Georgia two weeks ago and was at Ohio State last weekend, and he still has stops to make at Florida, Rutgers, Alabama and USC. He is expected to make a final decision before the beginning of his senior year after visiting all his prospective schools.

Auburn football's recruiting class of 2026 currently has seven commits and is ranked No. 34 overall.
