The first two seasons of Auburn football under head coach Hugh Freeze have been underwhelming, to say the least. The Tigers ended both seasons with losing records and they have yet to win a bowl game under the current head coach.

That being said, the Tigers are headed into the 2025 season with a completely new quarterback room, led by Oklahoma transfer Jackson Arnold. The pressure is on for the former Sooner, who had a rocky campaign last season and was benched for a couple of games before returning to the position.

Since his arrival on the Plains in January, Freeze has emphasized how Arnold is the best quarterback to be leading Auburn because of his fit in the system. Arnold continues to tell the media that he has never had more confidence, and that he believes he will be successful this season.

Still, there is not much faith in Auburn football to do great things in 2025. Most media outlets have predicted the Tigers will finish in the bottom half of the SEC, but the doubt has not fazed Arnold.

"I feel like we're going to prove everybody wrong and show what I'm about and what the Auburn Tigers are about," Arnold said, per Auburn Undercover. "I've never put lower expectations on myself because of one bad season. I'm still extremely confident in myself. I think we can win every game on our schedule. We have the talent to do that. We just have to put our money where our mouth is and go out there and execute."

With a loaded wide receiver room and a revamped offensive line, Arnold certainly has the tools to help the Tigers be successful in his first season on the Plains.
