Over the weekend, the best recruit out of the state of Alabama took his official visit with Auburn football. From Alexander City, Alabama, 5-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan is the No. 2 pass catcher in the recruiting class of 2026, and he's getting close to making a decision about where he will begin his college career.

The Auburn football program pulled out all the stops to try to sway Morgan over the weekend, including involving their plethora of in-state wide receivers to persuade Morgan to join the ranks. There is plenty of talent in the wide receiver room already on the Plains, but for Morgan, that isn't a negative.

"It's really anywhere I go, nobody’s going to give up their spot," Morgan said, per Auburn Rivals. "So you got to go out there and work for it. I feel like with their receiver room, you come in here, it's going to make you work even harder. I know all the guys outside of football, we’re cool, got a very good connection. I just feel like on the field it's going to be even better. We're going to push each other to surpass each other and stuff like that."

Morgan has been recruited by Auburn wide receivers coach Marcus Davis since he was a freshman in high school, so the pair have a strong connection, and head coach Hugh Freeze is making sure Morgan knows he's a priority, even having dinner with his family over the weekend.

The wide receiver has already officially visited Georgia, Florida and Colorado and will wrap up his official visits next weekend in Tuscaloosa. Then, he'll make a final decision and announce which school has earned his commitment on July 2. Morgan said it will be a very hard decision, and some perceive it to be a battle between Auburn and Alabama.
