Auburn football’s recruiting continues to trend upward under new head coach Alex Golesh as the Tigers landed a commitment from 3-star offensive lineman Jaylon Moore on Wednesday.

The Creekside HS (Fairburn, Ga.) product chose the Tigers over Georgia, Alabama, Missouri and Pitt, among others.

“It was great. Auburn is a great program,” he said per AuburnSports’ Jeffrey Lee. “The environment … every time I come it feels like family. I talked to Coach (Alex) Golesh and spent time with Coach PB (Parker Ball) and Coach Hoodie (Tyler Hudanick) and all the o-line coaches. It was great conversations and feels like family.”

At 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, Moore is the fourth commit for the 2027 class, joining 4-star running back Myson Johnson-Cook, 4-star tight end George Lamons and 4-star defensive lineman Donivan Moore.

In his first recruiting cycle, albeit one that he had short time to keep together after taking the Auburn job following last season, Golesh signed 4-star offensive tackle Wilson Zierer, 3-star offensive lineman Parker Pritchett, 3-star offensive tackle Mason Mathis and 3-star offensive lineman Bear McWhorter, who have all enrolled early and took part in spring practice. The Tigers also inked 3-star offensive lineman Mykall Lundy-Foster, who will arrive in the fall.

Golesh and his staff built up the offensive line with some additions from the transfer portal, including Deryc Plazz (Miami, FL), Kenneth McManus IV (Akron), Jack Leyrer (Stanford), TJ Hedrick (Ole Miss), Jacob Strand (Oregon State), Cole Best (USF), Cole Skinner (USF), Jo Simmons (James Madison) and Stanton Ramil (Michigan State).

Auburn’s offensive line will have a total new look this season with the departures of Connor Lew, Mason Murphy, Izavion Miller, Jeremiah Wright and Dillon Wade, among others. The Tigers are expected to start five fresh faces in the trenches when they take the field against Baylor in the season opener.
