With a new head coach coming on board, it was to be expected that some Auburn Tigers from last year's roster would hit the transfer portal, but several surprising players who were key pieces of the team parted ways with the program.

Under new NCAA rules, the only transfer portal window that is open is from Jan. 2 to Jan. 16, and all players— including grad transfers— are bound to that window. So far, 34 former Auburn football players have hit the portal, and a number of them have committed to SEC rivals.

Below is a full list of former Tigers who have entered the portal and committed to another SEC program.

Wide receiver Horatio Fields - Missouri

Cornerback Jay Crawford - Ole Miss

Defensive lineman Malik Blocton - LSU

EDGE Jamonta Waller - Arkansas

Cornerback Kayin Lee - Tennessee

Linebacker Robert Woodyard Jr. - Missouri

Safety Kensley Louidor-Faustin - Missouri

So far, three former Tigers have reunited under Eli Drinkwitz in Missouri, while Crawford will find a new spot under Pete Golding at Ole Miss. Waller is joining up with another new head coach in Ryan Silverfield at Arkansas, while apparently Blocton has bought into the Lane Kiffin hype at LSU.

Several more former players have transferred to destinations outside of the SEC, including Jackson Arnold (UNLV), Perry Thompson (Minnesota), Dylan Senda (Toledo), Donovan Starr (Clemson), Ashton Daniels (Florida State), DeAndre Carter (Iowa State), A'mon Lane Ganus (USF) and Caleb Wheaton (Michigan State).

New head coach Alex Golesh and his staff are still browsing the portal for additions to fill the holes in the roster ahead of the 2026 season.
