In today's era of college football, most of the recruiting action takes place during the early signing period in December, but traditional signing day still takes place on the first Wednesday in February each year.

As the clock winds down on the recruiting class of 2026, the Auburn Tigers have added another piece to the special teams unit in Australian punter Max Bourke. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Aussie previously attended Brunswick Secondary School in his native country and played football, basketball and cricket (with Australian rules). Bourke will have four years of eligibility remaining once arriving on the Plains.

Bourke will be a summer enrollee and will join fellow Australian Hudson Kaak—who transferred to Auburn last season from Oklahoma State—and class of 2025 signee and backup kickoff specialist and punter John Alan McGuire in the punters unit. The special teams unit is coached by Jacob Bronowski, who worked at Pitt before being hired away by new Auburn Tigers head coach Alex Golesh.

The Tigers have officially signed 21 freshmen to their 2026 class under Golesh, and have added 60 players to the team from the ranks of high school, junior college and the transfer portal since the new staff arrived.

Check out the full list of early enrollees who have already arrived on campus, and see the list of summer enrollees below, per Auburn Undercover.
