The game will be played at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville with tipoff scheduled for noon. There is no television or radio coverage of the game.
The proceeds from the game will go to Friends of Cleveland Park and Greenville's park restoration projects. It is the first of two charity exhibition games that the Tigers will play ahead of the regular season. The next will be in Auburn Arena against Florida Atlantic on November 1 at 7:00 p.m.
Sam Turner talks on flipping to Auburn
Earlier this month, the Auburn football team got a bit of good news amid the struggles of this season. In Mid-October, Sam Turner announced his flip to the Tigers. From Decatur, Georgia, the 3-star wide receiver was previously committed to Georgia Tech, but received an offer from the Tigers earlier this summer.
Auburn's coaching staff pushed hard for Turner, and the wide receiver told Auburn Rivals that when he saw wide receivers coach Marcus Davis show up at one of his practices—on a Wednesday—that Auburn was the school for him.
"He’s a great coach and everybody knows that in the country," Turner said. "If you ask the Florida State coach, Coach (Ron) Dugans, anybody’s he’s coached with, they all respect him. He’s a young guy, he sees the receiver out of my eyes. He’s open minded and he played at Auburn so he knows the ins and outs. He’s big on faith, he checks the boxes."
Turner looks forward to joining the talented young receivers on the Plains next season and knows big things are coming for Auburn football.
"I like that," Turner said of the young receivers. "It’s gonna bring the best out of me. Also, on the defensive side of the ball, you got freshmen playing, so it’s a good time to be at Auburn. I’m telling you, for the next three to four years we’re coming for the natty. People might not see it now, but trust me, it’s coming."
