In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, DL Darron Reed commits to Mississippi State, and Too Tall Miller could return for another season

One of the Auburn football team's outgoing transfers has found a new home in another SEC program. Earlier this week, former Tiger defensive lineman Darron Reed announced his commitment to Jeff Lebby and the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

A native of Columbus, Georgia, Reed committed to the Tigers as a 4-star defensive lineman out of high school in the recruiting class of 2023. After two seasons on the Plains, Reed struggled to break into the starting rotation and saw limited game action. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Too Tall Miller could return for another season

While Reed is on his way out, Izavion "Too Tall" Miller could be back in with the Tigers for another season. The NCAA announced earlier this week it would issue a blanket waiver to allow all JUCO transfers who will be out of eligibility after the current academic year an extra year of eligibility after Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia sued the organization.

Miller spent his first two seasons of college ball at Southwest Mississippi Community College, and will now have an extra year of eligibility to play. He transferred to the Plains ahead of the 2023 season and quickly became a starter at right tackle for the Tigers in head coach Hugh Freeze's first season.

According to Auburn Undercover, offensive line coach Jake Thornton believes that Miller still has untapped potential after being held back by injuries over the last two seasons. The Tigers have brought in two offensive line transfers in the winter window, but for a team that was looking to replace about four starters at the position, the return of Miller could be huge for Auburn football in 2025.
