In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, Hank Brown is set to visit Iowa and two players earn All-SEC honors

After a little confusion and reports going back and forth on whether or not Hank Brown would enter the transfer portal, the quarterback ultimately did decide to look for a new team. Brown was the second Auburn football QB to hit the portal following Holden Geriner.

Hawk Central reports that Brown is expected to visit Iowa football this week. The Hawkeyes started three different quarterbacks this past season, and first-year offensive coordinator Tim Lester called the passing game terrible.

Brown entered the transfer portal after two years on the Plains. After redshirting his first season, Brown saw plenty of game action in 2024 behind Payton Thorne and earned a few starts, too. He will leave Auburn with 34 completed passes for 235 yards and four touchdowns.

Two players earn All-SEC honors

Earlier this week, the Southeastern Conference released their three All-SEC teams, voted on by the league's coaches. All 16 teams saw at least one player named to one of the three teams. Alabama and Ole Miss both had four players selected, and Tennessee, Georgia, and South Carolina each had three players chosen.

Auburn football had two players earn All-SEC honors this season. Running back Jarquez Hunter was named first-team All-SEC and wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith was second-team All-SEC.

Hunter had an impressive senior season, racking up 1,201 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. He also picked up 21 catches for an additional 155 yards and one touchdown.

Lambert-Smith transferred in from Penn State and was one of the most impactful players for the Tigers this past season. He caught 50 passes for 981 yards and averaged 19.6 yards per reception.

The SEC will announce the Coaches' Individual Awards on Wednesday and the freshman All-SEC team on Thursday.
