Another week, another blown lead in the fourth quarter. It's become routine for the Auburn football team, at this point. Things looked good for the Tigers up until the fourth quarter, with Auburn holding a comfortable 17-6 lead over Missouri. And then, things fell apart, resulting in another SEC loss for the Auburn Tigers.

"Another disappointing day and bitter to know we're not able to get across the finish line against another top 20 team," Freeze said via Auburn Undercover after watching his team squander a 17-6 lead in the final quarter. "Give Missouri credit for not folding and continuing to battle. Our kids fought hard. We're not making enough plays. We're not making enough right calls at times to win these close games right now, obviously, and it's disappointing for the Auburn family. Disappointing for our administration, for our team, for our kids, our coaches. It's a difficult year where it seems nothing is going quite our way when you need it to."

Auburn heads into its next matchup against Kentucky with a 2-5 record, 0-4 in conference play.

Auburn football vs. Kentucky

The Tigers will hit the road again this weekend and head to Lexington, Kentucky, to take on the Wildcats. Auburn football will be coming off the 21-17 loss against Missouri and will still be looking for its first SEC win. The Tigers have not won a football game since playing New Mexico in mid-September.

Meanwhile, Kentucky is coming off a beatdown of a loss by Florida. The Wildcats lost 48-20 in Gainesville, and have won only one conference matchup this season against Ole Miss.

The Tigers open as an underdog to the Wildcats by 3.5 points, but have won 18 of the last 19 matchups against Kentucky. The two teams have not played since 2020.

They will kick off from Lexington this Saturday at 6:45 p.m.
