Another wide receiver is parting ways with the Auburn Tigers. Earlier this week, Eric Singleton Jr. announced his intentions to declare for the 2026 NFL Draft.

Singleton's career began at Georgia Tech, where he signed as a 3-star wide receiver out of Alexander High School in Douglas, Georgia. He spent two seasons with the Yellow Jackets before entering the transfer portal as the No. 1 transfer wide receiver and committing to Hugh Freeze and Auburn.

In his single season on the Plains, Singleton racked up 58 catches for 543 yards and three touchdowns.

"I am grateful for every opportunity and relationship that has shaped my college football career, and I do not take for granted the experiences, challenges, and people who have played a role in getting me to this point," Singleton said in his announcement via social media. "Thank you to Georgia Tech for providing my first opportunity to compete at this level and for the coaches and teammates who contributed to my early development.

"Thank you to Auburn University for welcoming me and allowing me to continue to pursue my goals. Representing Auburn was an honor, and I'm especially appreciative of the trust, support, and standard upheld by the coaching staff, teammates, and support personnel. I would also like to thank the athletic trainers, academic staff, and support teams at both institutions for their professionalism and commitment.

"Most importantly, thank you to my family for their continued support throughout this process. Your sacrifices, belief, and  encouragement carried me through every transition, challenge, and moment of uncertainty. I am deeply grateful for the foundation you provided and for always standing by me as I pursued this dream. With appreciation for the journey and focus on what's ahead, I am declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft."

Singleton is the fifth Auburn wide receiver to announce his intentions to part ways with the program. Cam Coleman, Perry Thompson, Horatio Fields, Malcolm Simmons and Sam Turner have all elected to enter the transfer portal.
