The cat's out of the bag. Auburn Tigers football coach Hugh Freeze's offense could feature all three quarterbacks, Oklahoma Sooners transfer Jackson Arnold, Stanford Cardinal transfer Ashton Daniels, and four-star Lucedale, Mississippi, product Deuce Knight.

Where would all three QBs fit in the offense, though?

Baylor Bears On SI's Luke Hubbard sees Daniels being used in run-heavy sets. As for the freshman Knight, Hubbard isn't sure, but expects the former George County star to see the field with his two signal-calling counterparts.

"While it appears Jackson Arnold will likely be the starting quarterback, there's a very real chance all three guys get to showcase their talents in some way or another. I would expect to see Daniels as a runner at some point, but it will be really intriguing to see how often they use Knight in the season opener," Hubbard said.

"Keep an eye on the quarterback every time Auburn's on the field, because they could change by the down depending on the play call."

One really hopes Freeze didn't actually mean he's scheming up plays for all three QBs, but instead was referring to hoping to be up so much that he'll have a chance to showcase the trio.

If he didn't, there's a legitimate question about whether or not he's liking what he's seeing from Arnold this offseason. It's not like Arnold didn't have struggles all last season running the show in Norman, Seth Littrell-to-Joe Jon Finley transition be damned.

Maybe it's a misdirection? Hopefully, it's a misdirection. If it's not, though, and Freeze is already openly pondering who could take snaps under center besides Arnold, there are bigger issues on the Plains than could've ever been imagined.

And if that's the case the Freeze countdown clock is ticking as we speak.
