Heading into the 2025-26 season, the Auburn basketball roster is going to be practically unrecognizable from the previous year. The Tigers had a historic season that culminated in the program's second Final Four appearance in six years, but with nearly all of their players running out of eligibility or transferring, there is work to be done ahead of the coming season. The only player that could possibly return is freshman Tahaad Pettiford, who has declared for the NBA draft while retaining his college eligibility.
Head coach Bruce Pearl and his staff knew this was coming, and they worked tirelessly on the recruiting trail even while their team was making a run for a national championship. Right before the Tigers were set to face off against Florida in San Antonio, the team got good news in the form of a commitment.
Former UCF Knight Keyshawn Hall was the first transfer to commit to Auburn basketball out of the portal, and the guard is expected to have a major impact on the roster this year, according to Pearl.
“Keyshawn was one of the most impactful players in the transfer portal,” Pearl said, per Auburn Live. “He was the leading scorer in the Big 12 and is a bucket getter. (Hall) is a very difficult one-on-one cover and can play multiple positions, both offensively and defensively. He is just a matchup nightmare for the opponent. I thought the biggest factor in his decision was his desire to finish out his college career on top and win a championship.”
Hall was the leading scorer in the Big 12 last season and averaged 18.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists while shooting at 42.7 percent from the field. He shot at 35.4 percent from beyond the three-point line and completed 84.4 percent of his free throws. He started all 33 games last season at UCF and was named second-team All-Big 12 for his efforts.
