Bryan Harsin said to be in a 'mental prison' after repeated shots at Auburn football

On3's Justin Hokanson sent a message worth heeding for Bryan Harsin: forget about the resentment towards an Auburn football program that graciously doled out $15.3 million of buyout money he didn't earn and live his life.

"A hater stuck in his own mental prison. Maybe it's bitterness that it didn't work out at Auburn? Caring more about recruiting at an elite level would have certainly helped. Maybe it's self-doubt? I don't know, but it's a loser mentality. Move on and enjoy your life, man," Hokanson tweeted.

Harsin has been subtly taking shots at AU but took it to a new level in his weekly "Cheers to the Winners" tweet where he can be seen in his reflection on a glass door wearing an Alabama shirt with the Tide's "LANK" slogan on it.

Cheering for the rival of the school that put him on the map and handed him a roster talented enough to give him a 6-2 start in his first season -- one that he didn't abide by their creed at all and did little work and no hard work in his 22 months employed, no less -- is at best, serially unemployed behavior.

You got your money. Why still comment on Auburn-related things? To stay in the spotlight, of course. Can't you coach your way back into it instead?

Maybe his name is too toxic to land a job. It seemed like Idaho State had hired him to coach his son Davis in some capacity last December but it never came to fruition.

Either way, this subtle back-and-forth probably isn't making any athletic department across the country want to bring him in.

Tweet away, though, sir.
