Even when he was at Auburn, Chad Baker-Mazara wasn't one to shy away from causing a scene on (or off) the court. Then, during last season's SEC Tournament, he undeniably made his feelings known after getting ejected in the game against Alabama.

Since then, Baker-Mazara left the Auburn Tigers for the USC Trojans, and many believed it was because of disagreements with then-head coach Bruce Pearl and the rest of the program.

Recently, Baker-Mazara shared a tweet that once again triggered speculation that he had "beef" with the Tigers, despite him posting a follow-up that said, "I love that now everything I say they wanna take it personal like no one is talkin bout ya!! Ya get a life mannn."

Chad Baker-Mazara has nothing but love for Auburn

The initial post that had been questioning his feelings toward Auburn simply said that he was happy to be with a group of dedicated winners. Keep in mind that it came after a 94-64 win over Cal Poly.

In a postgame press conference, following a dominant performance by the former Tiger against the Manhattan Jaspers, Baker-Mazara was asked about the initial post and if he had any animosity toward his former team. His response cleared up any speculation.

"A lot of Auburn folks, they've got stuff twisted," Baker-Mazara said. "I'm past that. I'm just praising my boys now... I always want [Auburn] to do good, my boys are there on that team... That coaching staff believed in me, they took a kid out of JUCO and gave him an opportunity, and because of them, I'm here today."

Baker-Mazara went on to say that, of course, he's going to joke around on X, he's still just a kid at the end of the day. However, he always gives his former teammates a heads up and that he's never going to actually "throw a shot at Auburn."

His USC teammate Ezra Ausar also backed him up, starting the responses to the question, saying that it "wasn't a shot" at anybody, and the Trojans aren't here to "start drama" with anyone.

Over the Trojans' first two games of the season, Baker-Mazara has already racked up 38 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and one steal. Simply put, he is where he is meant to be, and he got there because of his time with the Tigers.
