Yesterday, five-star safety Bralan Womack committed to the Auburn Tigers over powerhouse programs like the Ohio State Buckeyes, Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs, and more.
After his commitment, the Tigers' class of 2026 prospects flew up the national rankings, moving from No. 37 to No. 22 in the country.
Then, current Auburn quarterback Deuce Knight had the best possible reaction to Womack's commitment, building excitement about the safety's future with the Tigers:
"The best in Mississippi come to Auburn!! #WDE," Knight wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Womack and Knight are both from small towns in Mississippi, and were both offered by the two in-state SEC teams: the Ole Miss Rebels and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. However, they both decided to travel a little farther from home to play for the Tigers.

Knight, who was a four-star prospect in the class of 2025 and the No. 2 overall athlete out of the state of Mississippi, committed to Auburn in October of last year and joined the Tigers on campus this spring.
Womack, who is similarly the No. 2 prospect from Mississippi, still has another year of high school football ahead of him and likely won't join the Tigers until the upcoming spring or summer cycle.
The safety is the only five-star prospect to commit to the Tigers from the class of 2026, joining a handful of four-star athletes, including wide receiver Jase Mathews as well as edge rushers Jaquez Wilkes and Hezekiah Harris.
Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze brought in a top-10 recruiting class of 2025, highlighted by athletes like Knight, with the No. 8 class in the nation and the No. 5 class in the SEC. So far, his class of 2026 ranks 11th in the conference and is only ahead of Arkansas, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, and Missouri.
The Tigers kick off their 2025 season on Friday, Aug. 29, with a road game against the Baylor Bears. While Knight might be the shiniest quarterback in the QB room, he will likely play a supporting role to transfer quarterback Jackson Arnold, who came ot Auburn from Oklahoma this offseason.
