Auburn’s defensive line has taken another massive hit on Friday as EDGE Amaris Williams has announced he intends to enter the transfer portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Williams joins Jamonta Waller as the second defensive linemen to announce their decision to leave Alex Golesh’s program in less than 12 hours.
Ranked a 5-star by 247Sports coming out of Clinton High School (North Carolina) in 2024, Waller was the No. 5 EDGE and No. 30 overall player in his signing class, choosing Auburn over Ohio State, among others.
Possible star of the future gone
Appearing in 21 games for the Tigers, the 6-foot-2, 260-pound Williams recorded 20 total tackles along with 7.5 tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks.
Antonio Coleman, another defensive lineman who was suspended indefinitely in August and spent all season on the Tigers’ scout team, announced his intent to transfer on December 4.
