An up-and-coming 2026 offensive tackle, Jared Doughty, has set up official visits for this fall, with the Atlanta native coming to Auburn on Nov. 1 when Hugh Freeze and the Tigers host Kentucky in an SEC battle.
The 6-foot-6, 300-pound tackle from Banneker HS initially committed to Georgia State, but backed off from that commitment last week as he has continued to become one of the most highly sought-after offensive linemen in the class.
Prior to his explosion of offers, Doughty held only two from Coastal Carolina and Georgia State, who he’d been committed to since the end of June. But the in-state Bulldogs offered on August 30, and both Missouri and Auburn followed suit a few days later. He has already been on campus in Athens for UGA’s game versus Marshall and is very familiar with the program.
“It has made me think a little bit more,” Doughty told DawgsHQ earlier this month. “I was very excited when I heard the news. It is a big one because this will have a big impact on my recruitment process.”
Doughty has also scheduled official visits to Georgia Tech, Georgia and Missouri.
Freeze and his coaching staff will host several top commits and prospects this weekend as the Tigers play South Alabama in Jordan-Hare Stadium.
