Auburn Tigers head football coach Alex Golesh's inaugural coaching staff is taking shape on the Plains, and the program has officially updated its website to reflect the new hires. While most of the coaches and support staff are new to the Plains, two key defensive coaches—DJ Durkin and Vontrell King-Williams— were retained.
Below are the staffers listed by the Tigers:
Kodi Burns: Associate Head Coach / Co-offensive Coordinator / Wide Receivers
Joel Gordon: Offensive Coordinator / Quarterbacks
DJ Durkin: Defensive Coordinator / Linebackers
Tyler Hudanick: Run Game Coordinator / Offensive Line
Jacob Bronowski: Special Teams Coordinator
Tim Banks: Co-defensive Coordinator / Safeties
Coleman Hutzler: Assistant Coach / Bucks and Edges
Vontrell King-Williams: Assistant Coach / Defensive Line
Larry Porter: Assistant Coach / Running Backs
Larry Scott: Assistant Coach / Tight Ends
DeMarcus Van Dyke: Assistant Coach / Cornerbacks
Brad Wilson: Assistant Coach / Outside Linebackers
Andrew Warsaw: General Manager
George Courides: Director of Sports Performance
Harding Harper III: Executive Director of Recruiting
In his press conference one week after his hiring, Golesh spoke at length about the process of putting together his staff, from speaking to the current coaches and working out who is a fit to transitioning with people he knew he would be bringing in with him.
Golesh has put together an ambitious staff, which includes three assistants who were defensive coordinators last season in Durkin (Auburn), Hutzler (Mississippi State) and Banks (Tennessee), while Scott spent the past five seasons as head coach at Howard.
With plenty of SEC experience and impressive track records to point to, Golesh's newly-completed staff will now focus on building their roster for next season.
